Welcome to our school
The school accepts children from Nursery (Foundation One) to Year Six before they transfer to secondary education. This means that the children can be with us for a total of eight school years.
During this time we endeavour to bring out the best, both socially and academically, in every child.
If you are considering sending your children to St. Joseph's school then application forms for Nursery (F1) may be obtained from the school office.
As St. Joseph's is a Voluntary Aided School it controls its own admissions through the Governors' Admissions Policy which may be found in the School Prospectus. Entry to statutory education from Foundation 2 (Reception) upwards is coordinated by Wirral Local Authority and a preference form is available from September onwards via the School Office, Pupils Services of the Authority, Libraries and One Stop Shops.
Parents must apply by January 15th to be included in the 1ST round of allocations for places in schools on 31st March each year. Applications recieved after the January date will be dealt with by the Local Authority following initial allocations. All children, including those in our Nursery (F1) must apply through the Local Authority for places in the school. The Governing Body will allocate using its Admissions Policy.
